- Pick one of your favorite songs: write a short story using the lyrics.
- Dealing with a characters disorder (mental, physical, anything you think of)
- How a main character releases built up tension or stress. (Some of us cry, some create, others fight)
- Write your main characters in a fantasy world or a modern world (basically put them in a world they are not normally in)
- First date
- A vacation/trip
- A sunset or sunrise
- A nightmare
- The main character is the new ruler of the entire world
- A special piece of jewelry the main character owns.(where did they get it, why is it special)
- The main character with their parent(s). If your characters parents are not around, write as if they were alive/involved.
- The most beautiful sound you/ your character, have ever heard
- A dance when no one is watching (allowing one or two character involvement)
- Overwhelming jealousy
- Overwhelming pride in something
- Feeling of shame or guilt
- A good deed that no one noticed
- Favorite physical aspect of your partner
- First time meeting your best friend
- Making a meal for someone special (friend, family, love)
- First drunk experience
- You or a loved one faces a lifelong illness/disability
- One of your main characters is a vampire/werewolf/witch (or if they already are, make them normal)
- Masquerade ball
- Being reunited with a loved one (lover, friend, family)
- Write out the first version of one of your main characters. (Knowing this may almost be a completely different character - it can help you really see how far you may have come with your story)
